Playtech and Scientific Games have inked a worldwide distribution agreement. This technology and innovation partnership will enable the two software providers to expand their reach and distribution in the United States, Latin America, and Europe.
Scientific Games Corporation has signed a mutually beneficial distribution agreement with Playtech plc, a leading global gaming technology company. This new collaboration, which brings together two industry giants, will allow Scientific Games and Playtech to profit from each other’s size and influence in the US as well as regulated markets in Latin America and Central and Eastern Europe.
Playtech’s software will be made available to operators through the Open Gaming System (OGS). The agreement covers Playtech’s top-tier casino products, including its slots, table games, and live casino entertainment portfolio, all of which will be integrated with Scientific Games’ features and promotional setup. Playtech’s gaming content will be launched first in New Jersey through OGS, followed by more states.
Scientific Games’ OpenGaming proposition continues to thrive following recent partnerships.
This enterprise has constructed one of the planet’s most extensive gaming aggregation platforms, showcasing over 2,500 games, encompassing in-house developed titles and material from numerous external studios. It also provides features like progressive jackpots, complimentary spins, tasks, and competitions, all of which are accompanied by responsible gaming tools readily available to players during gameplay.
Playtech’s Chief Operating Officer, Shimon Akad, stated: “This is an exhilarating agreement that joins two of the most recognized companies in the industry and is certain to have a substantial impact on the gaming landscape worldwide. A key foundation of our strategy is to broaden the reach of our software through mutually beneficial collaborations with leading B2B suppliers in key markets, while also enhancing the depth of content and services we provide to our existing clientele.
“This partnership will considerably increase SG’s reach in regulated markets in Latin America and Europe, while also furnishing our clients in these markets with more abundant and engaging gaming content. Playtech anticipates benefiting from SG’s leading position in the US market as we strive towards launching Playtech casino software in all regulated states.”
Scientific Games’ Chief Executive Officer of Digital, Jordan Levin, remarked: “We will collaborate with Playtech to deliver high-quality and captivating gaming content to the US market and beyond.”
This fresh collaboration once more underscores OpenGaming’s central role in unlocking new avenues for game developers, enabling them to broaden their presence in significant regulated markets.
“We are enthusiastic about introducing Playtech’s globally renowned games to our operational partners worldwide, delivering exceptional entertainment experiences to their players.”
