The U.S. Gaming Association (AGA), in collaboration with the digital learning platform RG24seven, is providing no-cost online materials to fight human trafficking. This project commenced on January 11th, aligning with National Human Trafficking Awareness Day.
These tools aim to inform casino personnel and other gaming industry members about the truths of human trafficking and methods for detection and reporting. The instruction incorporates a mix of visual aids and interactive assessments, concluding with a certification upon completion. The AGA formulated the program with contributions from diverse specialists, including law enforcement, charitable groups, and their internal Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force.

The AGA is not the sole entity in its endeavors to combat this offense. Other prominent figures in the gaming and hospitality sector, such as Hard Rock International and Seminole Gaming, have also been broadening their training initiatives and resources. As an illustration, Hard Rock has delivered trafficking awareness training to upwards of 27,000 of its hotel and casino staff in the past few years.

The United States Gaming Group (USGG) is firmly opposing human exploitation, a criminal activity that has impacted numerous sectors. To address this issue, they have introduced a complimentary educational program aimed at providing casino personnel of all ranks with the resources to detect and report potential instances.
Wendy Anderson, head of RG24seven, a prominent anti-human trafficking organization, conveyed her support for this collaboration, highlighting the significance of a collective effort within the gambling sector.
Beyond the training, the USGG will observe January’s “Human Exploitation Awareness Month” by distributing a comprehensive set of resources specifically designed for casinos. This endeavor will be bolstered by the contributions of entities such as the University of Maryland’s Security Studies Institute and various federal departments.
