## Online Lead Generation Giant Appoints New Chief Executive for Ongoing Expansion
Catena Media, a major player in online lead generation, has selected Per Hellberg to assume the role of CEO, taking over from Henrik Persson Ekdahl who held the position on a temporary basis.
Ekdahl stepped into the interim CEO role in October 2017 following Robert Andersson’s departure. He will now hand over the reins to Hellberg in September, resuming his place on Catena Media’s board. Hellberg possesses a wealth of expertise, having recently served as CEO of Nordic Gaming Group Ltd, where he guided the company through a successful acquisition by Betsson AB. His impressive background also encompasses leadership positions such as CEO of Readly International AB and Marketing Director at Sony.
Announcing the selection, Kathryn Moore Baker, Chair of the Board at Catena Media, conveyed confidence in Hellberg’s capacity to propel the company forward: “We are thrilled to welcome Per to Catena Media. He brings vast experience directing rapidly expanding global teams and a robust digital foundation. Per has a demonstrated history of success in reshaping markets.”
This change in leadership arrives at a pivotal moment for Catena Media. The company recently announced robust financial performance, with earnings reaching €20.1 million in their latest financial report. This signifies a substantial 63% year-over-year surge compared to Q4 2016 and a 16% rise from Q3 2017.
The incoming CEO, Per Hellberg, shared his excitement about joining Catena Media, remarking: “Catena Media is an exceptional company with a captivating past, nearly unparalleled expansion, and immense potential.”
My enthusiasm knows no bounds as I embark on this journey with [Company Name], a truly progressive and energetic organization. A decade’s worth of industry knowledge fuels my eagerness to collaborate with a team so demonstrably committed to advancement and ingenuity. I anticipate with great enthusiasm the opportunity to play a part in realizing Catena Media’s bold vision for what lies ahead.”
