The Wanderers, an English football club, have opted to sever ties with all gambling firms. They will instead back organizations that assist those who are struggling with gambling addiction.

The team won’t provide any wagering services at their home ground and won’t ink any fresh agreements with gaming operators. This choice arrives at a critical juncture for English football, as authorities are contemplating prohibiting betting firms from jersey sponsorships.

The club’s leader, Sharon Brittan, stated that compulsive gambling destroys lives, and they aim to aid those battling against it. Research indicates that a substantial quantity of adults and youths in the UK grapple with problematic gambling habits.

Bolton Wanderers contend that the entire football sector needs to increase its efforts and will endorse initiatives that assist individuals impacted by gambling. While they acknowledge the EFL’s collaboration with Sky Bet, Bolton’s position against gambling services and sponsorships remains resolute.

Boltons head executive, Neil Hart, recognizes that wagering is a common leisure activity and that the association has a sponsorship agreement with a gaming organization. Nevertheless, he aims to emphasize that Bolton will not exceed the EFL’s mandates for advertising gambling. They will not be forcing it upon anyone.
